Unknown fossil

I think it is limestone, Most likely carboniferous.

It looks fishlike to me.

Hi,

to me it looks like a fossil bivalve.

Best wishes,
Oliver

Dear Oliver

Why do you think it is a bivalve.

It has a straight edge with no further ridges.
I dont see any indication of a curve, which I think should be present for a bivalve.

Well, I might possibly be wrong. But I think it is a fragment of a bivalve's shell, which
broke longitudinally. Besides, not all bivalves are rounded.

I think i agree with Hubertus here, i think it is part of a bivalve. Something along the line of Aviculopecten (probably not the right name for this fossil, just an example). Find some literature about the location or similair locations closeby and have a look at what they tell you.

I agree with Smaug, and I think Aviculopecten is a good suggestion.
