I think is in the old red sandstone formation.
It is about 6cm across.
There are no shapes on the other sides of this rock.

Unfortunately, this looks like a regular piece of sandstone to me...

Okay, Theres clearly something on it, Those bits seam like they are fused by heat or something, what could that be?

The pictures aren’t so clear. The spots could be the inner colour of the stone.

If this is from the Old Red Sandstone, the darker shapes you see are most likely intraclasts.
