Re: new here
Hi Dave,
Wecome!
So you are from Scotland, what kind of fossils do you collect there.
I have been a couple of times in Scotland (military exercise, Ben Nevis, Inverness), a great country with a great history!
Greetings,
Martijn

Re: new here
Hi Martijn,
There are a good number of fossil sites around scotland. i have not been to them all yet but hope to one day.
types of fossils found here are plant, fish, corals, trilobites, graptolites, ammonites,
belemnites, bivalves, and a hole lot more.
the picture here is from Barns ness on the east coast just east of Edinburgh, the round holes are where tree once stood and the rock around them is all corals dating back some 380ma.
I hope to be out collecting in a few weeks time i will let you know how i get on and what finds i have.
Dave.

Re: new here
Hi Dave, welcome to the Forum. Hope to see some more nice pictures from the area and your collection.
I\'m planning to go to England this summer, but Scotland might even be better. Are there nice coastpaths to walk.
Greetings
