Corystus dysasteroides from NZ
Corystus dysasteroides from NZ
Here are some pics of an echinoid called Corystus dysasteroides, (Oligocene) I found in New Zealand. What an absolute blast we had hunting for these!!! WoooooHoooooo!!! I cant wait to prep some of these out. We found quite a few of these, and it took some real chisle work to get them out, but what a wonderful time we had hunting for some cool fossils right along a super nice turquois beach in New Zealand! Wow!!!

Yes, some prepped ones would be very nice!
I'm curious!
How is it with the ammonites from your spot?

As for ammo's, there are some nice ammos to be found in this state, but most of the fossils here are on private land. A buddy of mine and I are going to try a site for some of those big Placenticeras ammos next year sometime. If I find any, I will post some photos.
