Hallo zuammen,

danke für die freundliche Begrüßung hier. Ich wünschte, mein holländisch wäre besser

Physogaleus secundus kommt sowohl in Alabama als auch in Harleyville (Santee Limestone fm) eher selten vor. Galeocerdo latidens ist in der Tallahatta fm, Alabama, dagegen häufig. Ich denke, das stimmt schon, obwohl die sich sehr ähneln. Das Foto ist vielleicht auch etwas zu klein.

heb ik zo mijn bedenkingen bij de determinatie van:

- Galeocerdo latidens
- Galeocerdo clarkensis

ik zou zeggen, beiden Physogaleus secundus (Winkler 1874).

Hallo Paul,
danke für die schnelle Antwort! Kann sein, dass du bei Ebay mal etwas von mir gesehen oder sogar ersteigert hast. Ich verkaufe ziemlich viel über Ebay (the_deep_sea). Wie die meisten bin ich hauptsächlich auf der Suche nach A-Grade Material. Da ich ab und zu in Mill bin, habe ich von dort schon einige schöne Stücke. Ich werde gelegentlich mal ein paar Bilder meiner Sammlung hochladen. Intereassante und seltene Arten aus Mill interessieren mich aber immer. Kreide (ENCI) und andere Fundorte aus Holland und Belgien sind immer interessant. Aus Egem habe ich schon so einiges. Du kannst mir ja mal eine Liste mailen, was du zum Tauschen hättest. Düsseldorf ist ziemlich in der Nähe von Grevenbroich. Gibt es hier im Forum auch einen Bereich, wo man sich zum gemeinsamen Sammeln verabreden kann? Ausser Mill, Cadzand und Doel war ich noch nirgends.

Ich binn sicher interessiert, sammle aber erst seit fast 1 Jahr und du verstehst dass ich daher nur nog relativ wenige (1)A-grade Stuecke habe en mich nicht einfach davon trenn.
Wo wohnst du denn, denn ich arbeite im Moment 3-4 Tage in der Woche in Duesseldorf (in der Naehe vom Flughafen).

I may have some stuff from the Dutch coast (Zeeuws Vlaanderen: Groede) for you, but this stuff is pretty worn for the most. Definitely not Mill quality!

As far as field-trips with other forum-members are concerned, they usually have an in-promptu character, initiated by someone posting an intended trip on the forum.

Concerning a potential exchange, I wouldn\'t mind stopping over from work in Dusseldorf one of these days as a pass nearby on the \"Autobahn A46\".
That way you can both see first hand what we have to offer for exchange.

By the way, seems that this year I wil only make 1 or 2 more trips to Duesseldorf. But in January I will definitely go there several times.
Nice set of teeth, especially the symphyseal Notorhynchus tooth.

as you can read in my credo in the bottomline, trilobites are favorite followed by sharkteeth
So if you have any trilobites to trade let me know; I have a growing collection of Mill\' sharkteeth.

...which brings me to the next question of your very nice \'mijn verzameling\'-pictures.
On the second pic you display two teeth. I was wondering what the upper brown tooth is, with long bone-piece.
I also found a couple last year but with my restricted sharkteeth-knowledge I didn\'t have a clue sofar. Thanks.
