Hello from Germany (and some other countries, sometimes).
My name is Johannes, and I hope to be professional somewhere in the future...
My interests (and work) in the last years include Pleistocene Mammals and Microfossils in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, environments of hominin dispersal out of Africa, palaeobiogeography of reindeers and elasmosaurids, and the whole palaeontological issue of the northern Europe glacial erratic boulders, with one focus (beside others) on Cambrian trace fossils from Scandinavia.
Beside palaeontology I have interests in cosmic impact events (and did some fieldwork in the Steinheim and Ries impact crater), and in prehistoric archaeology of the Near East and in experimental archaeology, too.
I'm active in some german collector communities (steinkern.de and trilobita.de) and hope to find here some more contacts to other collectors... Unfortunately, I'm only experienced in english language (beside german ofcourse), and a little in french and swedish...
Best regards
Johannes

Hello Tom,
thank you for your warm welcome...
I want to announce an invitation for the 3rd Trilobite conference in the Natural History Museum in Berlin this autumn, maybe some of our dutch neighbours are interested. Can you tell me where in this forum I can write about this topic?
Best regards
Johannes

@ Smaug
Thank you for the "Welcome", too.
I allready knew the site. I have worked a little bit about reindeer: http://lup.lub.lu.se/refmole/detail/4368394
Recently I'm working on limnic ostracodes, and, unfortunately, there are not many websites concerning this topic.
Best!

Hallo Oliver,
besten Dank. ich hoffe, dass ich mich hier zurecht finde, auf den ersten Blick finde ich es etwas unübersichtlich hier... Aber das wird schon.
Besten Gruß
