More Scaphites!!!
More Scaphites!!!
I took a photo of this particular type of scaphite where my son found a small layer in the middle of nowwhere that was ABSOLUTLY loaded with these things! These are some of the singles that fell out while we dug out this layer about 4 feet square. We must have a hundred of them!!! I was hiking around for 3 hours finding absolutly nothing, when I heard my son off in the distance. I yelled at him to try and locate him. I found the little canyon he was in and walked up a dry creekbed and saw him. He told me to check out the three little rocks that rolled down. I got there and checked them out and realized that they were loaded with the little scaphites! He was about 40 or 50 feet above me on a very steep bank and I ask him if there was any more? He said \"Dad, theres a whole layer of them up here\". I couldnt belive it!!! I had to climb up there and dig a spot for my pack and another spot for me to sit in. It was that steep!!! But after about an hour, we filled up 3 backpacks full of rock with multi ammos in them!! I was sooo happy and my son again outdone everyone!! Wow!!! I cant wait to start prepping!! You would really have to see the place to belive it. In the middle of nowhere, walking around and hiking all these little canyons and finding absolutly NOTHING for 3 hours, then all of a sudden, my youngest son finds the most amaziing little layer full of ammos!!! Just freakin awesome!!!

Hey Gerrit, The sides of that little canyon was all kinda soft dirt, so I wasnt too worried about falling, plus I was too excited to worrie. I tried to email you to tell you that I do indeed still have some of these left, but I dont have microsoft office. Try to email me if you can and I will send you some pics of these ammo\'s.

Hey Garrit. Im so ill right now I can barley type! Cough,,cough,, hack,,hack,,! but Im also so bloddy bored that I had to do something, so here are a couple of photos of two ammos that I prepped out last week. These beauties were incased in very hard rock, they are complete and have most of their shell material. Enjoy

Re: More Scaphites!!!
Hey folks, ive been busy again doing some more fossil prep. I didnt have high hopes for this one, but even though it has lots of problems, its actually complete, and it even has some nice crystals on the one side! This is known as Scaphites mariasensis and was found in the Kevin member of the Colorado shales in Montana. Enjoy.
