As far as I can tell, the Lyme Regis deposits are too old to harbour Mosasaur remains.
I think they had a look at this composite 'mosasaur' piece (look at the weird position of the nostril)

Yes, you are correct. No mosasaur fossils have come up from Lyme. There is something very wrong! http://www.discoveringfossils.co.uk/lym ... ossils.htm
