Folkstone:26-03.Dentatus ??
Hallo iedereen,Deze ammoniet geeft punten op de zijkant.Is dit ook een Hoplites dentatus.Groetjes(Moet nog geprep worden en is 6,5 cm)Hij komt uit bed 1.

Hi strandjutters,
the ammonite belongs definitely to the Hoplitidae, but as you´ve said the spines aren´t typical for Hoplites dentatus.
Taking a look at your photos, I guess it could be a Hoplites maritimus - you can compare it here: http://www.gaultammonite.co.uk/pages/Am ... itimus.htm
But I´m not a specialist on Albian fossils, but possibly the website is helpful for further identifications.
