help with identifying ths fossil

can someone please help me with the identification of this fossil?
i have searched the internet and couldn't find anything it could be.
i found it when i still was little, in or next to a clay-deposit in the cliffs.
a professional that came by seemd very interested and said that it was a special fossil and/ or that it was rare.
it looks like it is a clam of some sort but i am pretty sure that it's a shelled sea creature like a clam nowadays.
i didn't know what it was for years, and i hope that i can finally find out here.
location : Cap-Blanc-Nez | Escalles | France
estimated finding date : 2009-2010
most likely era : Cretaceous
most likely Phylum : Brachiopods
if you need any more info just ask, then i will try to rspond as soon as possible.
i really hope someone can help me identifying this fossil,
Florian

Antw: help with identifying ths fossil
hi Danny,
i am pretty sure that you are right, that it is an oyster from the rastellum genus.
but i still have one question, why is this specimin so round? the fossil closes on both sides and in that way it doesn't look like the pictures on google.
thanks a lot,
Florian
