Beschrijving tandmorfologie mosasauriërs uit Mississippi
Hallo allemaal,
Na onze eerdere publicaties over Mosasaurus hoffmannii en Hainosaurus boubker uit de fosfaatmijnen van Marokko (zie hier en hier), is ons nieuwste artikel over de mosasauriërs uit het Late Krijt (Campanien en Maastrichtien) van noordoost Mississippi gisteren gepubliceerd! Hierin schrijven we een viertal tandmorfologieën toe aan de soorten Mosasaurus hoffmannii, Tylosaurus sp., Plioplatecarpus sp. nov. en cf. Platecarpus. Het artikel is hier te vinden.

Na onze eerdere publicaties over Mosasaurus hoffmannii en Hainosaurus boubker uit de fosfaatmijnen van Marokko (zie hier en hier), is ons nieuwste artikel over de mosasauriërs uit het Late Krijt (Campanien en Maastrichtien) van noordoost Mississippi gisteren gepubliceerd! Samenvatting
New discoveries of fossil teeth from mosasaurid reptiles are reported from Late Cretaceous strata in northeastern Mississippi, USA. The new material is attributed to the mosasaurine Mosasaurus hoffmannii and the russellosaurines Tylosaurus sp., Plioplatecarpus sp. nov., and cf. Platecarpus. Fossil specimens originate from the Campanian of Lee and Prentiss Counties and the Maastrichtian of Union County.
