De meest complete Stegosaurus die tot nu toe gevonden is, is zojuist bij Sotheby's geveild voor $44,6 miljoen. Daarmee is het fossiel voor meer verkocht dan de duurste dinosauriër tot dan toe, de T. rex Stan, die in 2020 voor 31,8 miljoen USD verkocht werd.
