A recent find of Cyclaster archeri (Tenison Woods, 1867. Originally described as a Micraster then a Brissopsis, but now Cyclaster.
Miocene, Morgan Group. Glenforslan Formation...Murray River area at Waikerie. South Australia.AUSTRALIA.

Nice specimen! Am I right when I think I'm looking at a lateral view on your photo, with the periproct to the left? If that's correct, is the round hole in the test a parasite hole or something like that?

The hole on the side is predation drill hole and is actually tapering inwards on the test.
