Please Help I.D

I found this rock on a beach on the Isle of Wight. In some big rocks they had bones in them like the one on pictures 4 and 5. Nearby on the ground I found the rock on pictures 1, 2 and 3. If it is a fossil bone please help identify!

Hello Thomas,

I think this is just a rounded and weathered flint nodule. You can see the blue flint coming through the hard chalk that surrounds it at some places. On this http://www.fortunecity.com/greenfield/e ... 0/err1.jpg you can see the black flint to the right of the image where it has recently been broken. More to the left you can see colours that look like your specimen.

What about this rock from the same beach, does it contain any bones? ???

hello mate ime no expert but could it be fossil sediment. one item looks like a fruit stalk ?

ello mate i ment the second lot think of an apple stalk! then i think u will see the one i mean but thers no scale so i could be well off.

not my field mate have fruit stalks been found in rocks like this before ive found a lot in my sediment so i dont see why not?
