Wat ist dit?

Ik vond deze rots in Duitsland in de buurt van een strand, ik denk niet dat is een fossiel, maar het is best om ervoor te zorgen.

Ik denk dit steen is zeker niet fossiel. Maar het lijkt me toch op een mineraal.

misschien goed om te vermelden hoe groot deze steen is (size matters!) en van welk strand hij precies komt

Het is 12 tot 13 centimeter. De rots waar het werd gevonden is niet op de oorspronkelijke locatie.

Nee, sorry! Ik weet niet veel van mineralen. Maar je rots heeft een bijzondere structuur die een "normale" steen niet heeft.

Hi!
In order to identify minerals and/or rock-types, it is useful to have more information. For example, it is not really obvious from the photo whether this material has a high or low density; what kind of lustre the material has; streak color; chemical reactivity; hardness etc. etc. It may be possible to help you further determine rock-type and mineral composition when you could give a bit more information on these properties...

EDIT: does the material float in water? Given the color and textural features my first hunch would be some type material of organic origin (e.g. coal)

Het mineraal is heel zwaar, en doet niet zweven in het water. Zeer donker (zoals in de afbeelding), is er een klein stukje van goud in de centrum.

Hmm, high density and dark? Okay; let's start at the basis. Based on the texture (if necessary use a hand lens) do you reckon this is a sedimentary, igneous or metamorphic rock type? I.e. do you see sedimentary textures, or little crystals or signs of metamorphism?
Dark and heavy suggests to me some sort of mafic igneous rock type...
