Hello world
Beginner fossil seeker. Not much knowledge, but handy with a geological hammer.
I am in Sydney Australia so would be interested in hunting fossils in a pack.
Incidentally, a couple of questions:
1. What is a fossil enthusiast called?
2. What is the collective noun (English) for a group of the above entities?
Thanks & hello

Welcome.
Most fossil collectors here are dutch and reside in the Netherlands. You could also check out
http://www.thefossilforum.com, which has more international members, including from Australia.
I'm afraid a fossil enthusiast or collector is called just that. No 'cool' name as far as I know
Take care,
Natascha

Thanks. So is the collective noun a "pack" of rock hounds?

I've been fossil hunting in England for five years now and love it, not sure what official name for fossil hunters is, but according to my workmates a solo hunter is called sad and a collective is called a depression. Despite the well meant ridicule they still ask what I've found after each hunt]
