Unsure as to what type of fossil this is.

Perhaps an enclosure of a sponge (like Plinthosella ).
You can smash your hammer on it and you're sure

Who knows, maybe it is flint, maybe it's a sponge maybe it's nothing, but thanks I was just curious

It's flint for sure. The question is: What's in it.
