The photo is of a fossil I found in a creek bed in Alberta. I used my tile saw to cut the rock in half and it revealed this 5cm long structure. Looking at the rock the long structure is the same as the round ones but from a different profile. In the same area I have found coral like fossils so I suspect its some sort of mollusk. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I sure that these are fossilized foraminifers. They supposedly belong to the family Nummulitidae.

I would go for some belemnite remains.
The long one sliced diagonally.

Do you know anything about the deposits it's from? Do you have any info on the geological period?

Now that Spongebob mentioned possible belemnite remains I became unsure. Maybe I posted my answer a bit too early (about 7 am). But I don't want to withdraw my opinion right now. It would also be informative to get some information about the size of these fossils.
And it would certainly be advantageous to get some close-ups...

Wow, thanks for all the input. I really am an amateur and have no idea about formation age etc. I always am on the lookout however and have found sharks teeth and coral nearby and I was quite excited after running this through the tile saw! Heres a photo for scale. Im leaning toward belemnite after seeing the different photos online, I will also post a photo of the weathered exterior of the rock (I saw an online photo of a belemnite which was almost identical to the exterior one)
