Hi again,
In one of the siphoniae i found in the senonian of Touraine, there was that pattern.
I really have no idea about what it could be.
Cheers,
Sophie.

Hi Sophie,
this is most likely an offprint of a bryozoa colony.
Best wishes,
Oliver

Thanks a lot.
Do you think it was a Symbiot organisme that fossilized with the sponge ?

Hi Sophie,
there is not much known about the symbiotic relationship between fossil bryozoa and other organisms. What is known is that bryozoans live on different substrates, also on sponges. But this doesn't necessarily mean that there's a symbiotic relationship between both.
By the way: are you sure that your piece is a sponge? It doesn't like that on first sight.
Best wishes,
Oliver
