Haaientand Zwarte Polder (determinatie ; Parotodus Benedeni?)

Bijgaande tand heb ik gevonden in Zwarte Polder (Cadzand/Nieuwvliet). Opvallend is de dikke overstekende wortel t.o.v. de kroon. De tand is 4 cm lang, 2,5 cm breed en gebogen naar de spits toe. Is dit een Paratodus Benedeni ??

On the second pic the tooth looks serrated, is this right??

It sounds weird, but I am not quit sure. My daughter says yes. It feels serrated, but then it is almost worn off and there is also some damage on the sides, which might give a wrong impression. I cann\'t get I nice close-up (sorry).

Dit was mijn eerste gedachte ook, maar in opmerking in de Gids voor strandfossielen (Geode)bracht mij sterk aan het twijfelen. Retroflexus zou een uitstekende kroon hebben t.o.v. de wortel. Hier zie ik meer een uitstekende/dikkere wortel. Maar ik ben een leek op het gebied van determineren en wil graag in je antwoord meegaan. Bedankt !!somniosus schreef:
