Hi to everybody,

I was spontanious in Mill today and found this
nice Dolphin tooth. I am no specialist, so can anyone give me the name of it? I find it always better with a scientific name...

Hi,
Experts tell me this is virtually impossible. Given the large (but mostly unknown) variety of cetaceans at Mill, even determination to family level is as far as I know equivocal.

This does not necessarily mean you can not have its name with a more scientific latinised sound to it...

how about \"Odontoceti indet.\"

Maybe anyone can specify this to \"Delphinidae\" but I do not know whether one can positively exclude all other families.

Hi Erik,

I didn“t know that, thus I learned something new today :)

Odontoceti indet sounds now good to me, I just thaught this is classic tooth of a dolphin...

Thank you for your answer,

Stephan
