Please help me identify!
Re: Please help me identify!
Defenitely a geode. These are formed by the deposition of minerals in an empty space within the eatths crust.
The innermost crystals are the youngest.
To my opinion the chances of a shrinking inner part are very close to zero!

Re: Please help me identify!
hello,
definitly an egg. I had one just like it at easter only in blue. The thing next to it on the left is a geode without no doubt.
Greetings

Re: Re: Please help me identify!
You one funny guy Gerrit. thanks for the laugh. I would also say without any dought that that is a geode. Back when I used to do fossil shows, there was always someone bringing in a geode or some other type of round rock that someone told them was a dinosaur egg. And that happened quit a bit, but never ever did anyone bring in a real fossil egg of any kind for me to look at, and I did several shows a year for about 8 years.Gerrit-Jan wrote:

In Holland this is called \"KAAS\".
In English \"CHEESE\".
Normally you can eat it and the longer it is stored away, the better it tastes.
In this particular case it is another story. I think the date of sustainability is highly exceeded. I think it\'s nearly dangerous. So.......be carefull.
Please put on your gloves and throw the \"thing\" away immediately !!!
