Dit tandje pas in mijn residu gevonden. In eerste instantie dacht ik aan een acanthodon waar de zijkanten vanaf gebroken waren. Alleen bij het beter bekijken blijkt dat de zijkanten niet zijn afgebroken. Dit kun je zien omdat de kartelrand netjes doorloopt en geen breuk vertoont. De wortel vertoont wel wat slijtage. Daarna dacht ik aan twee andere opties. De eerste was een hemipristis omdat de wortel ook de typische verhoging vertoondie die zichtbaar is bij een hemi, maar voor eenhemi vind ik de karteling veel te fijn dus die viel eigenlik ook af. Als tweede optie dacht ik aan eenbijna symphisaire positie van een Galeocerdo. Ik weet niet of ik daarmee in de richting zit ofdat het totaal iets anders is. Dus wie kan me helpen.

Dit is een interessant tandje. Ik denk ook iets in de richting van Carcharhinidae.
Ik ben benieuwd wat het zal worden! 8)

Ik vroeg mij af wat Jasper verzamelt, maar nu weet ik het eindelijk. Jasper verzamelt berichten op fossiel.net. 100 berichten in een halve maand tijd is dan ook een behoorlijke prestatie. Nu nog werken aan de inhoud van de volgende 100 Er staat hier wel een big smile, maar eigenlijk is het niet grappig

I also think that it's a Galeocerdo, but it's not rolled. As always is it difficult to see at a picture, but the sides are still complete. So there is no part missing. Only at the top of the root were normally the nutrient channel is has saome damage. So at a normal Galeocerdo you would see a continuation with the smaller serrated teeth, but this tooth is missing that. I will take it with me when i'm going to Hoevenen again to show it to other people and i will let you know what they think. But thanks for your comment.

Hi Patrick,

let me continue the conversation in English; what Stephan means with 'roled' is what we see (as a quite extreme example) with the reworked teeth from the Eocene, for example. It doesn't necessarily mean the tooth is broken in any way.

Though it is, at least in my opinion. For me both root sides are broken away and afterwords roled...

Ik ga akkoord met Stephan. Als het aangeduide deel (foto) afbreekt -wat je volgens mij duidelijk ziet in de textuur van de wortel op die plaats- en daarna verrold is, kan het misschien niet bepaald opvallen.

En dan denk ik iets in de richting van Physogaleus, of iets dergelijks?! Er zijn vast wel mensen op 't forum die je een determinatie kunnen geven. "Laat je allemaal horen ..."
